Meet the Founder of the Kulcha Shock Abroad:
I am Charmaine, born and raised in Manchester, Jamaica and I am excited to connect through our Jamaican culture. Years ago, I moved to the United States from the little cultural heartbeat of the world. Arriving in the US from a small country was a KULCHA SHOCK (translated as culture shock). Yes, everything was new, strange, and exciting at the same time. There were even more shocking experiences as I moved through school, my career, dating life (wooiee), and trying to maintain relationships with family in the states and back home.
About the Kulcha Shock Abroad Jamaican podcast and brand:
Kulcha Shock Abroad was born out of a desire to connect with Jamaicans traveling or living abroad who may experience 'Kulcha Shock'. The brand seeks to discuss issues as well as provide resources that may be helpful to Jamaicans and the diaspora.
The Kulcha Shock Abroad is a biweekly podcast series focusing on the unique aspects of Jamaican culture.
